We promote actions on research, health and the environment
We develop research projects that help to improve human health and wellbeing through actions that assure good environmental health.
There is a clear link between the quality of the environment and the health and wellbeing of the people that live in it. This is backed by several organizations and reports around the world.
We identify strategic environmental challenges that could have an effect on human health and we work on research projects to find solutions to these challenges. We collaborate directly with governments to arrange projects carried out at research centres, universities, RD&I companies or scientific programmes that link the state of the environment with human health.
These actions and projects take place in the following framework:
Research projects on mitigation of and adaptation to climate change with the aim of contributing to improvement in human health through actions that prevent the current average temperature from increasing by more than 1.5 °C (in relation to internationally adopted pre-industrial levels).
Projects concerning a reduction in pollution to improve human health and regenerate the quality of the atmospheric environment.
Scientific projects and studies that analyse the battle against harmful species to humans and contribute to it.
Research and innovation strategies that help to guarantee the quality and availability of water.
Research and analysis projects on fire prevention and improvement in resources to provide future improvement in the environment to favour the wellbeing of people.
