Discover the new Planetarium in Madrid

The "la Caixa" Foundation will invest three million euros over a five-year period to renovate the facilities of its Planetarium in Madrid and offer a new programme of activities and exhibitions.

The Madrid Planetarium will improve its installations, first opened in 1986, to maintain its leading position in educating and raising awareness of Astronomy and Science.

The new facilities and future activities and exhibitions will help both schoolchildren and the public in general to learn a new way of looking at the sky and find out more about the mysteries concealed in the vastness of the universe. More than 150,000 people, including 55,000 schoolchildren, will be able to enjoy the new Planetarium and discover the marvels of astronomy in the most educational and fun way possible.
