Discover the new Pamplona Planetarium

The ”la Caixa” Foundation supports the science education work of the Pamplona Planetarium in promoting general knowledge through astronomy.

The Pamplona Planetarium is the biggest planetarium with the largest capacity in Spain and also one of the most important in terms of the activities it runs.

In cooperation with the education department of the government of Navarra, the ”la Caixa” Foundation promotes, together with the Caja Navarra Foundation, the programme of science education and, in particular, one of the top activities run by the Pamplona Planetarium: the Star School Programme.

The primary function of this programme is to complement and put into practice school curriculums, from pre-school right through to upper secondary level. It is a range of education to combine learning with fun, using the starry sky as a means of motivation.

Star School, which was first set up in 1993, uses astronomy as the central theme to introduce pupils to other subjects like history, literature, the visual arts, mathematics, science, mythology, philosophy or even language teaching.
