Art is clearly a driver of change and improvement in society. "la Caixa" Art for Change sets out to help to run art projects involving active participation by people in situations of vulnerability in order to give them a voice, equal conditions and opportunities and make them visible in society through participation in a creative process.

  • REGISTER AND CERTIFICATIONS

    To present a project, the applicant organisation needs to certify its eligibility on the applications website, where it will be given an access code (username and password).

    Any organisations already certified need to verify and validate the registration documentation contained in the application.

    Uncertified organisations must have existed for at least one year; for organisations resulting from mergers, at least one of them must have existed for this period of time. 

    To become certified you need to complete all the fields requested and enclose the following scanned documentation:

     

    a) Cultural facilities and institutions:

    Documents to be provided if the application is presented by a legal person.

     

    • Mandatory documents:

    1. Copy of the Tax Identification Card of the facility or institution.

    2. Copy of the Articles of Association of the cultural facility or institution duly attested by a notary public.

    3. Accreditation document for the person representing the facility or institution when managing projects (template available on the Call Website).

    4. Tax ID Number of the person representing the facility or institution for managing the project.

    5. Registration of the facility or institution with the corresponding official registry.

    6. Tax system certificate (if they have one).

     

     

    In the case of public cultural facilities or institutions, they will only have to present the following documentation for accreditation:

     

    1. Copy of the Tax Identification Card of the cultural facility or institution.

    2. Accreditation document for the person representing the facility or institution when managing projects (template available on the Call Website).

    3. Tax ID Number of the person representing the facility or institution for managing the project.

     

    b) Artists:

    Documents to be provided if the application is presented by a natural person.

     

    • Mandatory documents:

    1. Tax ID Number (Spanish Citizens), Foreigner’s ID Number (NIE) or residence permit (residents in Spain) .

Project presentation

Projects are presented via the applications website for the call for applications using the username and password obtained during certification. No physical documentation will be accepted.

To present a project correctly all the data fields in the different tabs of the website application must be completed and the project presentation form provided by the application must be enclosed, as well as any complementary documentation.

  • COMPLEMENTARY DOCUMENTATION

    To present the project during the call for applications, the organisation or artist needs to enclose the following documentation with the application:

     

    a) Cultural facilities and institutions:

    Documents to be provided if the application is presented by a legal person.

     

    • Mandatory documents:

    1. CV of the main artist carrying out the project.

    2. Data validation certificate signed by a legal representative (template available on the Call Website).

    3. Resolution signed by the Board of Directors (or equivalent management body) approving the presentation of the application for the call.

    4. Statement from the legal representative of the cultural facility or institution undertaking to contribute 25% of the budget for the project directly or through third parties.

    5. Power of attorney deed for the person signing the agreement.

    6. Tax ID Number of the person signing the agreement.

    7. Certificate from the Tax Authorities stating that the cultural facility or institution is up-to-date with all of its tax obligations, valid for the time at which the project is presented.

    8. Certificate from Social Security stating that the cultural facility or institution is up-to-date with all of its labour obligations, valid for the time at which the project is presented.

    9. A sample of artistic work created previously (photos, videos and/or recordings, texts, etc.). This material must exclusively be used to assess and ensure the professionalism and artistic quality of the work carried out by the facilities, cultural institutions and/or artists applying. Particularly, the level of artistic excellent will be assessed.

     

    • Optional documents:

    These document are not mandatory but will be taken into consideration and will be assessed favourably in the evaluation process.

    1. Collaboration agreements between facilities, cultural institutions and/or artists.

    2. A copy, where applicable, of the resolution(s) to contribute the remaining amount of funding for the project or a copy of the request if the resolution is pending.

    3. Letter of endorsement for the project from the Local Authorities.

    4. Artistic material that shows the processes and artistic projects carried out in terms of social intervention.

     

    b) Artists:

    Documents to be provided if the application is presented by a natural person.

     

    • Mandatory documents:

    1. CV of the main artist carrying out the project.

    2. A sample of artistic work created previously (photos, videos and/or recordings, texts, etc.). This material must exclusively be used to assess and ensure the professionalism and artistic quality of the work carried out by the applicants. Particularly, the level of artistic excellent will be assessed.

    3. Data validation certificate signed by the applicant (template available on the Call Website).

    4. Statement from the applicant undertaking to contribute 25% of the budget for the project directly or through third parties.

    5. Tax ID Number of the person signing the agreement.
