• For anyone wanting to find out more about the most pressing issues of our global society today, through the work of photographers and artists and providing us with an insight into other people's lives.

  • WHAT WE DO

We work to raise awareness throughout society of the situation in developing countries through exhibitions, educational workshops, talks, seminars and specialised publications.

  • HOW WE HELP

    Windows on the world
This CaixaForum area provides visitors with an insight into the circumstances in countries of Africa, Asia and Latin America through a series of short films on people living under adverse conditions who are nevertheless striving to improve their lives.

    My world
The exhibition "My World. Challenges for a better world" presents the major challenges facing humanity over the next few years in order to help improve people's lives and protect the planet.

    The most important thing
In the last two years more than three and a half million people from four countries in crisis (Syria, South Sudan, Central African Republic and Mali) have been forced to flee their country. This exhibition, organised in collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), presents photographs taken by Brian Sokol who's carried out a series of large-format portraits of refugees showing the most important object they've taken with them from their homes when forced to flee.

    Inventions
People all over the world are thinking up innovative designs to improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable people on our planet. In this exhibition we present some of the most revolutionary inventions applied to countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
