    • Promote beekeeping cooperatives to generate new food sources.

    • Strengthen the organisational skills of local agents.

    • Achieve sustainable growth in the level of income.

    • Improve the food safety of the local population.

    • Increase the production of honey and wax.

    • Improve the standard of living and reduce the level of vulnerability in Genna Bossa.

    • Empower women.

  • HOW WE HELP

    • We set up seven cooperatives and a cooperative union.

    • We built 21 bee hives and provided cooperatives with the necessary materials to keep bees.

    • We start up training programmes.

    • We establish a credit system to attract new members to the cooperatives.

    Direct beneficiaries: 903 people (35% women) from the district of Genna Bossa: small landowners, women and groups at risk of exclusion with highly precarious livelihoods and very limited food safety

     

    Indirect beneficiaries: 3,659 people.
