Our "la Caixa" fellowship programme is governed by a peer review procedure to evaluate applications in line with the recommendations of the European Science Foundation contained in the European Peer Review Guide. Integrating Policies and Practices into Coherent Procedures.
  • WHAT WE DO

These are the principles we take into account in all our selection processes:

    • Openness. Candidates, evaluators and the general public always have access to the regulations governing the selection processes and procedures.

    • Fairness. Applications are evaluated exclusively based on merit accredited by the candidates, without taking any other factor into consideration.

    • Efficiency. Our fellowship programmes are characterised by their strict compliance with the established procedures.

    • Quality. "la Caixa" Banking Foundation fellowships are fellowships of excellence and are only granted based on criteria of academic or professional quality.

  • EVALUATORS

Would you like to collaborate as an expert evaluator during the selection processes for the "la Caixa" fellowship programmes?

Since 1982, "la Caixa" Banking Foundation has launched and managed different fellowship programmes to support excellence in education and promote research talent. So far, more than 4,500 students have been recipients of a "la Caixa" fellowship to take up postgraduate studies abroad or in Spain. During this period, "la Caixa" Banking Foundation has had the collaboration of a large number of experts from different disciplines, who have participated in the evaluation of applications to the existing fellowship programmes. For "la Caixa" Banking Foundation, rigour and transparency in the selection processes are crucial to guarantee the excellence of the fellowship programmes offered. For this reason, it is fundamental to have a database of experts that is dynamic and constantly being updated with new profiles, both in the academe and in the industry.

At present, our database has more than 2,000 national and international experts from all fields and disciplines, classified according to the OECD's Frascati Manual.

If you are interested in forming part of our database and collaborating as an expert evaluator in future calls for fellowship applications, you can contact us by sending an e-mail to fellowships@fundacionlacaixa.org  together with your CV in PDF format or the link to the website where it can be seen.
