Professionals trained in providing warm, humane support.

The 42 psychosocial care teams (EAPS) carry out their work in hospitals and homes. Their valuable service improves emotional aspects of both patients and their families.

These teams, more than 220 professionals present in all the autonomous communities in Spain, belong to non-profit organisations and are made up of doctors, psychologists, nurses, social workers, pastoral workers and volunteers.

Through our programme they receive the training and guidance required to carry out their work helping the people with advanced diseases.

A study by the Catalan Institute of Oncology shows that the work carried out by EAPS leads to a statistically significant trend of improvement in levels of anxiety, sadness and unease among sick people and their families.

Their work makes a significant difference at the delicate time at the end of life.
